If you rely on either Checkout History or Lists on the current catalog to keep your reading organized, there’s good news! You can keep using those tools in the new catalog (and they will actually work even better!).
Checkout History

Checkout History will transfer automatically when we migrate all the library’s data to the new catalog! You’ll be able to find it in your account info after logging in, similar to how you see it now.
Also, the same as now, library staff can’t see your reading history–this history is private to you, and you can choose to turn it on or off at any time.
One change is that the catalog won’t alert us during check out if you’ve had a book before–we’re sorry to lose this feature, but feel that all the new updates make it worthwhile.
If you would like to turn on your reading history, we will have plenty of options when the new catalog goes live, along with the new notification options and other features.
Lists

If you use lists to keep track of books you want to read, recommendations, or favorites, you can transfer those to the new catalog as well! Here’s a PDF tutorial and a short video tutorial on how to download and add your lists to the new catalog (when it’s live!):
If you have any questions, let us know–or if you’d like a hand with any of this, come into the library and ask!
If you have questions about the catalog transition, you can read our original post, or check out NCLS’s FAQ. And look for more info over the next month as we continue to prepare!
