Tasks for the student will include researching and selecting books, planning and preparing developmentally appropriate activities, facilitating in-person events, and interacting with children about books and reading. The workership student will be providing programming to children in all forms—in some instances they will be taking the lead on facilitating an event, and in some instances providing support for other library staff facilitating an event.

Qualifications include:

  • Able to communicate well with children,
  • Able to lead and manage group activities,
  • Able to work well with others,
